However, who will Jones fight? Tom Aspinall has been pushing for a fight all this while. However, as per his latest statements Jones has made it pretty clear who he intends to fight this year. It is none other than UFC legend Stipe Miocic who he was supposed to face in 2023.

Tom Aspinall believes Jon Jones is playing games and does not want to fight

Tom Aspinall is clear he wants to take on Jon Jones in the octagon. But he believes the UFC champion is ‘playing games’ and not serious about fighting him. Aspinall addressed this in his latest YouTube video.

UFC CEO, Dana White officially declared the matchups for UFC 304. Aspinall uploaded a video on his channel where he discussed his upcoming title defense against Curtis Blaydes . However, he also addressed a potential fight with Jon Jones.

Well, I've made it pretty clear that I want to fight Jones. I'm not gonna start acting like someone that I'm not. Do you know what I mean? I spoke to Jon Jones online, spoke to Jon Jones privately, spoke to Jon Jones personally. Publicly. There's not a lot more that I can do. Jon Jones is playing games. He doesn't want the fight. Aspinall said he was not going to start acting like someone he is not just to get views and get attention. He said he wanted to be true to himself and fight the best people in the world. He hoped he would eventually step into the octagon against Jones. He also threw a covert jab at Jones wanting to fight 42-year-old Stipe Miocic instead of him.
