Diaz Tells Paul To Pull Up After MMA Callout

Nate Diaz has answered Jake Paul's challenge for an MMA rematch following the newly announced merger between the Professional Fighters League and Most Valuable Promotions.

Paul called out Diaz while promoting the promotional merger in a video, declaring his intentions to finally step into the cage. The YouTuber-turned-boxer accused Diaz of avoiding a rematch under mixed martial arts rules after their 2023 boxing match, which Paul won by unanimous decision over 10 rounds. "Now, with this new partnership, I'm going to get into the cage. Nate Diaz, stop ducking," Paul said, per Fight Magazine.

Diaz Fires Back On Social Media

Diaz responded on X with a brief message aimed at his former boxing opponent. The former UFC lightweight posted the four-word reply on August 9, as Sherdog first reported. Paul has yet to respond to Diaz's social media post.

The Stockton native is coming off a loss to Mike Perry at MVP's inaugural MMA event earlier this year. His last win in the sport came nearly four years ago against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, which marked his final appearance in the promotion. Diaz holds a 21-14 record in mixed martial arts.

Paul has maintained a wrestling background and professional boxing experience but reportedly has never trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu or kickboxing. According to BJ Penn dot com, he framed the potential matchup as a chance to reshape the combat sports landscape. The PFL-MVP unified promotion is set to begin operations in 2027, when both boxing and MMA events will operate under one umbrella.
