UFC 333 title challenger Movsar Evloev questioned the appeal of women's MMA in recent remarks that took aim at female fighters.
Evloev, who faces the featherweight champion in the co-main event next month, said he finds it difficult to watch women compete inside the cage. "It's so hard" to watch, he said, per Sherdog.
The undefeated Russian has stayed quiet on his reasoning, but the timing raises eyebrows as the UFC continues building women's cards. Former bantamweight contender Aspen Ladd recently criticised the promotion's treatment of female athletes, saying the company shows "not much care" for that side of the roster.
Evloev brings a 19-0 record into UFC 333, where he looks to claim featherweight gold. The card takes place in late August with the weigh-ins scheduled for the day prior.
