Francis Ngannou showed his charitable side after picking up a dominant win at the weekend.

The ex-UFC heavyweight champion made a statement by brutally stopping Philipe Lins during Netflix’s debut MMA card.

Ngannou was later awarded a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts.

And while many athletes might pocket that kind of cash, he decided to put it towards a cause closer to home.

Ngannou took a moment at the post-fight press conference to speak about his opponent, showing appreciation for what Lins brought to the cage.

The Predator spoke highly of Lins and followed through by donating his entire bonus.

“Even though he was promoted, I believe that he was being underestimated,” Ngannou said about Lins.

“I saw a lot of people count him out. The guy that I faced tonight, of course, I won, but he was tough.

“By the way, I think he’s the guy that deserves the Performance of the Night. We should give the Performance of the Night to Philipe Lins.”

How much money did Francis Ngannou make?

After giving away $100,000 at MVP MMA 1, it’s fair to wonder just how much money Francis Ngannou is working with these days.

The California State Athletic Commission shared the full list of fighter earnings for the event, making it easy to see how everyone did financially.

Ronda Rousey led the way by a clear margin, taking home $2.2 million after her 17-second armbar win over Gina Carano.

Ngannou wasn’t far behind on the list, earning a guaranteed minimum of $1.5 million according to official figures.

That number is just the base pay though. The final amount is likely higher once all bonuses and additional incentives are factored in.

With Netflix’s debut event deemed a success and more shows planned for this year, there should be plenty of lucrative opportunities ahead for Ngannou if he wants them.
