The Global Fight League has now confirmed their first two cards, which will take place on May 24-25.

The league was set up as a way to offer fans the chance to see the best MMA fights in a league format. They have managed to recruit some of the biggest names in combat sports, who competed in the UFC. Paige VanZant, Tyron Woodley, Tony Ferguson and Holly Holm are just some of those names. The league has been praised for offering fighters the chance to earn lucrative sums.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that there could be a pension system in place to look after fighters once their careers are done. It is believed that 300 fighters have signed up to the promotion. The cards will take place at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles. The fighters will represent six teams. They will represent Los Angeles, New York, London, Dubai, São Paulo, and Miami. The league will result in a play-off season, after which the winners and champions will be announced. The league’s founder, Darren Owen, was looking forward to the league making waves.

“We are thrilled to bring this innovative, team-based format, featuring both MMA legends and rising stars, to the Shrine Auditorium in May. The atmosphere of this iconic venue is perfect for our athletes and fans, who will experience an electrifying event that showcases the world-class talent of our teams,” Darren Owen (GFL founder)
