Global Fight League has set Oct. 17, 2026, for its inaugural event at Sam's Town Live in Las Vegas, the team-based promotion announced Monday.
The venue holds between 1,100 and 1,500 depending on configuration, per MMA Mania. GFL's second attempt at a launch comes 18 months after the promotion collapsed amid financial setbacks and public missteps that followed a January 2025 team draft. The original debut was scheduled for May 2025 before the operation folded.
The rebooted league dropped from six teams to four, representing New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and London. Leadership includes former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, longtime broadcaster Mike Goldberg, and retired middleweight Hector Lombard. GFL structured itself around a team format similar to the defunct International Fight League, holding a draft in early 2025 before the financial troubles surfaced.
No fighters or matchups have been announced for the October card. The promotion has not disclosed ticket prices or broadcast plans. Sam's Town Live typically hosts midlevel regional shows and concerts on the east side of the Las Vegas valley.
