UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones continues to find himself in the news. While the world awaits word of his next bout to defend his championship belt, Jones is making the media rounds, talking about his past, present, and future.
Jones last successfully defended his belt at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, 2024 against former heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic. Jones took Miocic down via KO/TKO in round No. 3.
With Jones now standing at 28-1-0 (1 NC), the fight UFC fans hope to see is Jones vs. Tom Aspinall. Aspinall, 32, remains the UFC interim heavyweight champion, and has made it extremely clear and public that he wants his next fight to be against Jones.
While a Jones vs. Aspinall heavyweight title fight remains pending, Jones sat down with VicBlends on the "Deep Cuts" podcast to discuss all things mixed martial arts.
Jones was asked to name his top-four, Mount Rushmore fighters in the history of the UFC. Jones responded, without hesitation, with a clear response.

"Top-four, hmm, Demetrious Johnson, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, and myself., in no specific order. I think we've all done really great things in this sport," Jones said.
Jones responded without hesitation, putting his own name in the ranks of the top-four, Mount Rushmore of UFC fighters in the organization's history.
While this list is subjective, former lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, who retired from the UFC undefeated (29-0), is inconspicuously missing from this list.
While Jones is spending his time making podcast appearances, a petition has surfaced on Change.org seeking to strip Jones of his heavyweight title. As of Thursday, the petition has over 115,000 signatures.
