Holly Holm hasn’t participated in a boxing match since but it certainly looked like she never left. She was dominate in her win by unanimous decision against Yolanda Vega. Holm is most well-known for handing Ronda Rousey her first loss in the UFC back in 2015. That made her an MMA star and was the crowning moment of a UFC career that has lasted up until April 2024 when she lost to former Rousey training partner Kayla Harrison.
Fans questions about Holm’s ring rust was quickly answered as Holm (34-2-3) immediately gained control of the fight. Showing at 43 that she can control her opponent with an effective jab and timely counters.
Most boxing fans forget that 33-2-3 record in boxing with championships in three different weight classes before making the move to MMA. She was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2022. Holm is truly one of the greatest combat fighters of all time.
Shoutout to the legend @HollyHolm. Honor to speak to her after her first boxing win since 2013. She looked fantastic out there.

“Have this fight, get ranked again and then go for the big fight … the Taylor-Serrano fight; those are the top two fighting now. Those are the girls I want to fight, the best in the world,” Holm said.
Without a doubt it seems like Holm is in the right place at the right time. She could very well land himself the match up that she’s looking for. Holm is a household name and is more recognizable than any other female boxer. So I think it’s safe to say that she’ll be ranked and could very well land a championship fight in her next match.
