UFC CEO Dana White made a big announcement for fights that will headline the next two cards. There will be a rematch at UFC 320 between champion Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira for the light heavyweight title. Ankalaev defeated Pereira by unanimous decision for the belt last March. Pereira had won his last three title defenses.

At UFC 321, Tom Aspinall will defend the heavyweight belt against Ciryl Gane. Aspinall was the Interim Heavyweight Champion and defeated Curtis Blaydes last July. He recently became the undisputed champion after Jon Jones retired.

Fighters Set To Headline UFC 320 and 321

Ankalaev, 33, has a record of 21-1-1 and has gone 14 consecutive bouts without a loss. He is 7th on the men’s pound-for-pound rankings. Pereira , 38, is 12-3 and was once the middleweight champion after defeating Israel Adesanya in 2022. He lost the rematch, but made his debut at light heavyweight the following year.

Aspinall , 32, is 15-3 with 12 KOs. Since 2023, he is 3-0, with all wins by knockout, versus Marcin Tybura, Sergei Pavlovich, and Curtis Blaydes. Gane is 13-2. He began his career 10-0 before suffering a unanimous decision loss to Francis Ngannou for the heavyweight title. He has won his last two fights (2nd round TKO vs. Serghei Spivac and split decision vs. Alexander Volkov).

Final Thoughts

As always, there are big fights to look forward to in the coming months. This announcement comes days after Dustin Poirier’s retirement fight against Max Holloway, and weeks after talks on an event at the White House next year.

UFC 320 is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada. UFC 321 is set to take place on Saturday, October 25, at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
