Ilia Topuria Hints at Big Move With Cryptic Tease

It’s been almost one year since fans have seen Ilia Topuria fighting in the octagon. Everyone is waiting for his comeback fight, but fans have gotten no official update. But fans are hoping that the event will be iconic, and adding fuel to it, the lightweight champion himself hints that a big announcement is coming soon.

Justin Gaethje became the interim lightweight champion by defeating Paddy Pimblett . After the fight, Joe Rogan himself said that he will see Gaethje at the White House card. This hints that fans might see a lightweight title fight at the White House. Meanwhile, in his recent post on Instagram, ‘El Matador’ hinted at a big announcement. In the caption, he wrote: “Big news coming soon.”

The Spanish fighter recently appeared on a live stream with Adin Ross and said he doesn’t know whether he’ll be headlining the White House card. Additionally, Topuria also mentioned that he doesn’t care who he is going to face next, but ‘The Highlight’ has called out ‘El Matador’ to be ready.

Many people are warning Justin Gaethje about Ilia Topuria’s knockout power, especially after his KO wins over Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira. But Gaethje isn’t buying into the fear. ‘The Highlight’ is aiming to stay prepared, and recently he called out Topuria to be ready. In a recent interview, he said:

“He better be because I’m supposed to fight him in June on the White House card. That’s why I fought for this [interim title].”

Topuria is expected to return in June on the White House card, where he’s likely to face Gaethje. Topuria recently posted on social media confirming he’s back in training, which adds more fuel to the idea that this massive clash is close to becoming official.
