Ilia Topuria’s manager may have just hinted that Gaethje is next—possibly at UFC 322

After UFC 317, Ilia Topuria walked away with arguably the biggest statement of his career—a first-round knockout over Charles Oliveira. The win solidified his status as the lightweight division’s new king and sent shockwaves through the rankings. But as soon as the dust settled, the conversation shifted to one question: who’s next? Among the loudest voices was Arman Tsarukyan, the number two contender, who wasted no time calling his shot.

Tsarukyan made his claim clear, but Topuria wasn’t having it. In a livestream with the Nelk Boys, the newly crowned champion said he would 'never give [Tsarukyan] a chance,' citing concerns about his commitment.

Topuria doubled down, saying the UFC should take his belt if Tsarukyan doesn’t fight again to prove he’s earned a title shot. It was a firm denial—and one that fueled speculation about a different path forward.

That path may now be clear. In a recent post by @DovyX, a screenshot surfaced of an Instagram story from Topuria’s manager, Lukasz Orzel (@orin_luca), that read: 'Tell Gaethje good night… #AndStill #UFC322.' The post immediately sent fans into a frenzy.

Justin Gaethje has previously voiced his frustration after being passed over for UFC 317 and even hinted at retirement if the UFC didn’t give him a title shot next. Now, it looks like the UFC may be giving him exactly what he asked for—at UFC 322 in Madison Square Garden, no less.

If the hint from Topuria’s team holds up, UFC 322 may be shaping up to feature a massive main event. With MSG as the backdrop and Gaethje’s all-action style in play, it’s the type of fight that could headline a stacked card and deliver fireworks. Stay tuned.
