Jessica Andrade submits Amanda Lemos, ties Amanda Nunes for most wins
Jessica Andrade Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship strawweight champion Jessica Andrade made a statement against Amanda Lemos in UFC Fight Night 205's main event.

After nearly three minutes of back-and-forth action on the feet, Andrade (23-9) locked in an extremely tight standing arm-triangle choke. While Lemos (11-2-1) attempted to fight the submission, she was forced to tap in her first main event bout. The finish came at the 3:13 mark of the first round, and Andrade called for a title shot after the emphatic victory.

This marks the first standing arm-triangle choke in UFC history.

Puelles kneebars Guida

The co-main event saw UFC lightweight division mainstay Clay Guida go up against Claudio Puelles.

Guida (37-21) came out against Puelles (11-2) with his trademark aggressive pace. This would backfire as Puelles would use his grappling to chain several submissions together, including a tight triangle and armbar. Guida would finally get his arm free, but Puelles snatched a kneebar that forced the veteran to submit. The tap came at 3:01 of the first round.

Puelles has now won five straight UFC fights.

Barber outworks De La Rosa

In the lone women's flyweight bout of the night, Maycee Barber returned against Montana De La Rosa.

The fight started slowly as Barber (10-2) and De La Rosa (12-7-1) were largely locked in a stalemate against the cage for the bulk of Round 1, but Barber landed the better shots on the feet. The second frame would see De La Rosa find success in the grappling as she took the back of Barber and unsuccessfully look for a rear-naked choke. The third frame would see Barber once again clinch with De La Rosa and score with some sharp strikes throughout. After 15 minutes, all three judges saw the fight 30-27 in Barber's favor.

Barber has won two straight fights.

Jourdain quickly taps Vannata

The night's lone featherweight bout was an entertaining scrap between Lando Vannata and Charles Jourdain.

While Vannata (12-5-2) initially looked to grapple with Jourdain (12-4-1), that didn't stop the Canadian from flooring him with a well-placed punch. During the ensuing scramble, Jourdain locked in a tight one-arm guillotine choke that Vannata was unable to escape. The finish came at just 2:32 of Round 1.

Jourdain is now on a two-fight winning streak.

Barriault guillotine chokes Wright

The main card began with a 190-pound catchweight bout between Jordan Wright and Marc-Andre Barriault.

Wright (12-3, 1 NC) would find an early advantage by taking down Barriault (14-5, 1 NC). However, a second takedown attempt by Wright would land him in a guillotine choke. Barriault cranked with all his might and forced Wright to tap at 2:36 of Round 1.

This is the first submission win for "Power Bar."
