Joe Rogan has claimed that tonight’s UFC show in Miami was one of the greatest in MMA history after a series of exciting fights.

Aside from one stinker between Johnny Walker and Dominick Reyes that Rogan claimed ‘sucked’ midway through, UFC 327 was a stunning night of action. Josh Hokit lived up to his outrageous character work as he defeated Curtis Blaydes in an instant classic at heavyweight.

And after Paulo Costa scored a stunning knockout in the co-main, the night’s main event delivered in spades. Jiri Prochazka stood and traded with Carlos Ulberg after he had blown his knee out, and suffered a brutal knockout for his troubles.

Joe Rogan leaves glowing review of UFC 327

Joe Rogan’s tenure in the UFC goes back even farther than the likes of Dana White and the Fertitta Brothers, and he has commentated on thousands of fights throughout his career. So for him to claim that tonight’s event was an all-time great is nothing to be sniffed at.

During the post-fight show alongside Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier, Joe Rogan regaled viewers with tales from the night as he looked back on an instant classic at heavyweight. It was all topped off with a stunning main event, which resulted in an all-time moment from a one-legged Carlos Ulberg.

After declaring that MMA is the greatest sport in the world, Rogan told Cormier and Anik: “I love boxing, I love other combat sports. There is nothing like MMA, and tonight proved it. Tonight was one of the greatest cards of all time.

“In terms of result, in terms of watching it as a fan experience, other than the Dominick Reyes vs Johnny Walker fight, which, unfortunately, was a dud – all those other fights were sensational. Watching Cub Swanson go out like that was amazing.

“Watching that Hokit v Curtis fight was bananas. And then the main event… You want to talk about unpredictable? The guy blows his knee out, we’re all disappointed ‘like ‘oh, no, it’s so – Bam!’ Perfect left hook, he’s the new king. I mean, what a night.”
