The UFC icon believes that it is ‘crazy’ to host such a high-profile event during this current time.

Last weekend during the UFC 326 broadcast, the premier promotion announced their full six-fight UFC White House event.

The event will take place on the South Lawn of the White House and will only be open to a select amount of people, with no fans being able to attend.

And just a few months ahead of what is supposed to be a monumental event on June 14, UFC icon Joe Rogan has shared his thoughts on the event.

Rogan is skeptical about UFC White House event due to ongoing tensions

Although he didn’t come out and say it straight up, Rogan expressed extreme concern regarding the timing of the event.

The 58-year-old said that with tensions ongoing between the Middle East and the U.S. it is ‘crazy’ to have such a high-profile event.

“It sounds crazy,” Rogan said on The Joe Rogan Experience.

“I know it’s going to be very high security and high stress and weird to have a fight at the White House in the middle of a f—— war. I would hope the war will be sorted out by June, but quite honestly, I’m not confident that’s going to be the case.

“That will be weird, having this very high-profile event where everybody is in one place at one time.”

Over the past few years, Rogan has skipped more UFC events than ever before, despite him only being part of numbered events on U.S. soil these days.

He will presumably be part of the broadcast team that commentates on the June 14 event, however, with his recent comments, that remains to be seen.

So far this year, the 58-year-old has been involved in both UFC 324 and UFC 326, while he skipped UFC 325 as it took place in Sydney, Australia.
