One of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA is reportedly hanging up his gloves. On Saturday, UFC president and CEO Dana White announced that Jon Jones, multi-time light heavyweight champion and current heavyweight champion, has retired from fighting.
The 37-year-old leaves the sport with a career record of 28-1 with 11 (T)KOs and seven submissions — in addition to the most UFC title fight wins ever.

In the immediate Jones relinquishes his heavyweight belt to Tom Aspinall who becomes the new undisputed heavyweight champ moving forward, per ESPN.
Jones had recently admitted that he "couldn't care less" about fighting anymore during an appearance on the "Full Send Podcast."
"I don't want to say that I am retired. Fighting is in my blood, but right now, I couldn't really care less about fighting. I have been doing it my whole life at a very high level, and when the itch comes back, and if it comes back, then I'll do it with my whole heart. I will do it to the best of my abilities. But right now, I look around and I realize what is true, what is real," Jones said Thursday.
"I see the way people look at me and the way I make people feel, and it's an extraordinary thing. It is a true blessing. Now, my job is to serve that and give that to my fans. Be reachable, touchable, let them know what I have inside. That is who I am right now, I have punched and kicked enough people."
At UFC 316's post-fight press conference, White had some interesting comments on Jones' status.
Saying, "Jon Jones agreed to do the fight. "Jon Jones was offered the deal and accepted the deal... Tom Aspinall is the guy, he's the guy... if [Jones] wants to retire and doesn't want to fight, then there's nothing you can do."
As it appears right now that seems to be the case, and Jones is walking away from his decorated fighting career.
