Josh Hokit and Ilia Topuria have become an unexpected UFC talking point after their heated exchange at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference.
The issue began when the heavyweight rising star targeted Alex Pereira during the event, prompting the Spaniard to step in and confront him on stage.
Security stopped the moment from escalating, but the size difference and hostility quickly turned the confrontation into fuel for social media debate.
A fan on X later shared an AI-generated video imagining how a fight between Hokit and the lightweight champion might unfold.
The clip showed the American heavyweight taking Topuria’s punches without being hurt, mocking the lightweight champion, then finishing him with ground-and-pound.
Hokit clearly enjoyed that version of events, as he reacted with just one word, writing: “Exactly”.

It was a simple response, but it matched a feud already driven by insults, bravado and a weight-class mismatch.
Topuria did not respond directly to the AI video, but his own view of the confrontation had already been made clear.
Speaking to Spanish journalist Alvaro Colmenaro, he said Hokit was fortunate that security prevented the incident from going further.
“He was lucky, because there were many security guards, otherwise one of us would come out hurt and it wasn’t going to be me,” Topuria stated.
For now, the fight remains fantasy. The tension around it, however, has become real.
