Former UFC bantamweight contender Ketlen Vieira has signed with the PFL, MMA Fighting reports.
Vieira announced the move on Instagram on Tuesday, one month after the promotion cut her from its roster despite a win over Jacqueline Cavalcanti at UFC Vegas 117 in May. The Brazilian thanked coach Andre Pederneiras and manager Ali Abdelaziz in the post, writing that the signing marked "the beginning of a new chapter in my life."
Ranked fifth in the MMA Fighting women's bantamweight rankings at the time of her release, Vieira is expected to move up to featherweight for the PFL, which does not currently run a women's bantamweight division. She went 10-5 over a decade in the UFC, including one bout at 145 pounds.
No date has been announced for Vieira's promotional debut.
