Khabib Nurmagomedov was recently criticized online after refusing to shake a female reporter's hand during an appearance on the CBS panel during their UEFA Champions League final broadcast.
'The Eagle' rarely finds himself in controversial situations and has, for the most part, been an incredible example for all mixed martial artists. His humble nature has been on display throughout his years competing in the cage, but some fans turned on him for snubbing a woman's handshake attempt on live TV.
Kate Scott is widely regarded as one of the greatest sports broadcasters of her generation. Scott has been leading a ragtag group of former professional soccer players to one of the most enjoyable programs to surface in recent years.
She is a hard-working reporter with over 19 years of experience, which is why many were upset when Khabib Nurmagomedov allegedly snubbed her attempt at a hand shake.
Khabib joined the panel, greeting retired soccer players Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards, alongside YouTuber IShowSpeed with a handshake, but kindly refused when Kate Scott extended the same greeting.
Many were outraged, citing a lack of respect for women as the reason the UFC legend refused to shake her hand.

While some refuse to acknowledge it as fact, Khabib Nurmagomedov's rejection was out of respect.
Khabib's religious beliefs prevent him from shaking hands with women. Muslim men opt to avoid physical contact with unrelated women, which is what was on display during CBS's broadcast.
Despite being aware of the fact that religion deters him from physical contact with unrelated women, some are still showing arrogance toward his beliefs.
Kate Scott wasn't fazed by the snub, likely understanding that the culture difference prohibits that type of unnecessary contact.
