UFC lightweight King Green escaped injury after his Range Rover was destroyed in a car accident caught live on his KICK stream Sunday night.
Green was broadcasting while driving through Hollywood when another vehicle attempting a left turn struck him as he passed through an intersection with a green light, according to BJ Penn.com. Video of the collision showed the impact totaling Green's Range Rover, though Green and his passengers appeared to walk away without serious harm. The condition of the other driver remains unknown.
The 40-year-old lightweight veteran holds the UFC record for most significant strikes landed at lightweight with 2,077 during his tenure. Green saw a four-fight win streak snapped at UFC 332 when he lost to Esteban Ribovics. His UFC run includes victories over Grant Dawson, Tony Ferguson, and Al Iaquinta since debuting at UFC 156 with a third-round submission of Jacob Volkmann.
Green has built a following on the KICK streaming platform, frequently collaborating with former UFC champion Rampage Jackson. He recently made headlines when he claimed to be homeless despite reportedly owning multiple properties, a statement that drew comment from UFC CEO Dana White.
No timeline has been set for Green's octagon return following the accident.
