Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell has filed for emergency custody of his children from his ex-wife.

The Hall of Famer requested temporary sole physical custody in court documents, according to Sherdog, amid an ongoing dispute centered on the couple's teenage daughter. Liddell, who reigned as UFC champion from 2005 to 2007, seeks to gain full custody through the emergency motion.

The filing marks the latest development in Liddell's domestic situation following his divorce. Details of the specific dispute that prompted the emergency custody request were not disclosed in the court documents.

Liddell retired from MMA in 2010 after back-to-back knockout losses, though he briefly returned for a 2018 bout under Golden Boy Promotions. He remains one of the sport's most recognizable figures and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2009.

No hearing date for the custody motion has been announced.
