Malott Knocks Out Buckley

Mike Malott knocked out Jaoquin Buckley with a second-round knee in Saturday’s UFC main event in Edmonton, Alberta.

Buckley looked sharp on his feet in round one, and the low output suggested a long night. Malott stayed patient, and in round two Buckley’s explosive, in-and-out approach cost him. As he stepped in to attack, a perfectly timed knee landed flush on his jaw, sending his mouthpiece flying before he dropped. Malott added one punch on the canvas, though Buckley was already out. Malott is on a five-fight UFC win streak at welterweight, with his last two wins coming by knockout.
