McGregor And Chandler’s First Presser Announced – ‘This Is Huge’

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will hold their first press conference on June 3 in Dublin from the 3Arena at noon ET/9 a.m. PT.

There is mass anticipation for the fight at UFC 303 on June 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The bout will be a five-rounder at 170 pounds. Fans will see McGregor fight for the first time since 2021 at UFC 264. McGregor suffered a loss to Dustin Poirier, breaking his leg and taking his record to three losses out of his last four UFC fights.

Chandler also lost to Poirier in his last bout, coming out second best at UFC 281 in 2022. Chandler decided to wait for the McGregor fight rather than stay active. While it paid off as he secured the bout without losing any fights in between, will that inactivity cost him? The current reaction shows that McGregor is still as popular as ever. Dana White has said the UFC gate is already over $20 million. That is a UFC record, which is remarkable, given there is still over one month left to go before the fight.

“This fight [card, UFC 303] is already the largest gate in UFC history, and it is international fight week. So, if you haven’t gotten your tickets, you better get them now. Next week, is UFC 302 in Newark. When that fight [card] is over, I’m jumping on a plane, and I’m flying straight to Dublin, Ireland. We’re holding the Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler press conference live and free on June 3rd at the 3 Arena. I haven’t been in Ireland in a while. The last time I was there was for McGregor-Mayweather presser, and it was incredible, and I expect this to be the same,” White said

White also announced further fights on the card. Ian Machado Garry will face Michael Page. Garry enters the fight with a win over Geoff Neal at UFC 298. That was the seventh win of his career, following impressive wins over Neil Magny, Daniel Rodriguez, and Song Kenan. Meanwhile, Page has a win over Kevin Holland at UFC 299 in his last bout, which was his first-ever UFC bout. Page was competing in Bellator before he made the switch. He is currently ranked 13th in the rankings.
