MF & DAZN X Series 15: Brooke vs. VanZant

The Misfits & DAZN X Series will remain active with a huge card marking the promotion’s return to the United States this weekend.

MF & DAZN X Series 15 will take place from NRG Arena in Houston, Texas, and feature a headlining bout between former UFC star and OnlyFans model Paige VanZant, and OnlyFans model and Misfits Boxing mainstay Elle Brooke. The show will be co-headlined by a fight between former Pittsburgh Steeler Le’Veon Bell and outdoor conversationalist influencer Tristan Hamm.

Main Event — Brooke vs. VanZant

Saturday’s main event will be contested for the Misfits Boxing women’s middleweight championship, which is currently held by Brooke. The OnlyFans model has taken to the influencer boxing world as well as any female Misfits & DAZN fighter, holding a 3-1 promotion record while coming off a third-round TKO of Andrea-Jane Bunker to win the middleweight title. Her power has been a difference maker in each of her fights for Misfits.

VanZant, meanwhile, was at one time considered to be a future star of women’s MMA, and a legitimate UFC prospect. However, VanZant instead suffered a few setbacks and fizzled out of professional MMA in favor of a career on OnlyFans and bareknuckle boxing. Now 30, the former UFC strawweight contender is set for her first-ever conventional boxing match, and is seeking her first victory in combat sports in five years. The deciding factor will come down to how VanZant’s vastly superior combat sports experience counters Brooke’s superior boxing experience and momentum.

Co-Main Event — Bell vs. Hamm

Le’Veon Bell, for many years a star running back in the NFL, is finding a second act in the boxing ring. Bell’s lanky frame and footwork have translated from the football field, and at 32-years-old, he figures to have plenty of untapped potential in boxing. His athleticism is seemingly unmatched in the Misfits Boxing world, and has been a quick study with his only loss having come to UFC veteran Uriah Hall last year. However, he gave a reasonable account of himself, taking Hall to the judges’ scorecards.

He will match up against Hamm, a physical freak in his own right set to make his boxing debut. The eccentric Hamm has two million followers on Instagram, but will be short on experience and reach. His best bet will to get inside and make Bell feel his power.

The fight is part of a tournament that will crown the first-ever Misfits Boxing cruiserweight champion.

Rest of the Card

Other fights of note will see Ree Moo of YouTube fame (LIL CRACRA) take on food influencer Elijah Smith (Yuddygang) in the quarterfinals of the 135-pound tournament. Elsewhere, Bi Nguyen, a former Muay Thai and MMA fighter, is set to make her MF x DAZN debut against Silvia Fernandez.
