Japanese Muay Thai superstar Nadaka Yoshinari has signed a multi-fight deal with ONE Championship. Yoshinari initially made his promotional debut at ONE 172. Now committed to chasing gold in the world’s largest martial arts organization, Yoshinari looks to become Japan’s first-ever Muay Thai World Champion.

Nadaka Yoshinari Finishes Rak Erawan in ONE 172

In his debut, Yoshinari squared off against Rak Erawan in an atomweight Muay Thai contest. It looked as if the match would head to the scorecards, but the Japanese striker beat the bell in the final 20 seconds of the match. With lightning-fast precision, a left straight flattened Rak inside Saitama Super Arena.

In a statement, Nadaka Yoshinari made it clear as to his intentions with signing a multi-fight deal with ONE. After Japan’s extraordinary night at ONE 172, Yoshinari has been invigorated to bring gold back home to Japan. Unbeaten since 2019, Yoshinari is on a 37-bout winning streak.

“I have decided to join ONE Championship as my next challenge in combat sports. I am determined to prove that the beautiful and technical Muay Thai style I’ve developed alongside Mr. Nakagawa, the dedicated coaches at Eiwa Sports Gym, my fellow teammates, and my respected seniors can truly excel at the highest level of global competition. I am fully committed to becoming the first Japanese athlete to capture a ONE Championship Muay Thai world title, and I sincerely appreciate your continued support on this journey,” Nadaka Yoshinari said of his signing.

Chatri Sityodtong on Nadaka Yoshinari Signing

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong is unquestionably excited about the most recent signing to the global athlete roster. However, he cautioned the Japanese athlete by saying the waters have gotten much deeper now that he has joined ONE. Sityodtong is looking forward to seeing how Yoshinari fares against the world’s elite.

“Nadaka is jumping into an ocean of great white sharks. It will be interesting to see how he adapts as he takes the biggest step up of his entire career,” Sityodtong said to Bangkok Post.

No return date has been set as of yet for Nadaka Yoshinari. The follow-up performance will surely be a match to watch as the Japanese star sets his sights on huge goals on the global stage. Stay tuned for match announcements as they come in the near future.
