Natalia Silva became the new UFC women's flyweight champion with a unanimous decision over Wang Cong in the UFC 332 main event.
Silva used her striking to control much of the five-round fight, though her pace dipped in the championship rounds. Cong, who entered on a four-fight win streak, struggled to pressure Silva enough to make up ground, appearing hesitant to enter Silva's range given the kicks and punches landing early.
The standout moment came when Silva dropped Cong with a surprise switch high kick that landed flush on the jaw as she exited an exchange. Cong survived, but the knockdown helped seal the decision and showcased Silva's Taekwondo-based skill set.
