Although nothing is official yet, it’s certainly a fight we’d tune in for. The two men met previously in August 2023 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. On that occasion, it would be the former Disney star, Jake Paul, who would walk away victorious, winning the fight in convincing fashion (98–91, 98-91, 97–92).

The fight reportedly did 450,000 PPV buys, generating $3.1million at the live gate.

Nate Diaz set to replace Tank Davis?

Jake Paul’s original opponent on November 14th was scheduled to be WBA lightweight champion, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, however, this fight was cancelled earlier this week. The decision to cancel the fight was heavily influenced after a lawsuit was filed against Tank by his ex-girlfriend, citing battery, aggravated batter, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that Davis has been accused of such matters and Paul’s ‘Most Valuable Promotions’ clearly want to distance themselves from Davis and understandably so.

Several names were thrown into the hat to face Paul, however, it appears that it will be Nate Diaz stepping in to clash once against with The Problem Child. Former UFC heavyweight champions, Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou‘s names have been considered, but it appears a much more familiar face to fans of Paul’s will be making the walk.

It was rumoured that Diaz would get his rematch with Paul in the octagon under MMA rules for the PFL, however, as we know, this didn’t go ahead.

Since their first fight, Paul has had five ‘boxing’ matches, scoring three finishes. He’s picked up wins against Mike Perry, Mike Tyson and most recently, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Diaz has only competed in the ring once, a unanimous decision victory against former MMA foe, Jorge Masvidal, in July of last year.
