In UFC history, there haven’t been more famous brothers than Nate and Nick Diaz. From Instagram Reels to interviews, there have been many videos of the two praising each other. However, it seems something is off between them lately, as Nick shared a lengthy post on X (now deleted) claiming that Nate is surrounded by bad people.

After rehab, Nick is now one year sober and trying to rebuild his life. Meanwhile, he said some people have been talking about his life and trying to control him. But that won’t happen anymore. According to Nick, people he once trusted kept him locked up for over a year for their own reasons.

He also called out an older man who claims to speak for his family, saying the man doesn’t have Nick’s best interests at heart and shouldn’t be trusted. Speaking about his brother, Nick said he doesn’t fully understand the issue but feels Nate should distance himself from negative people.

He said, “For my brother Nate. I don’t know what his issue is but you need to cut out the s--- talkers in your group to keep it real they are embarrassing to be around.”

Unlike what he talked about, Nate, the older Diaz, thanked his wife, Kayla, for always standing by him and supporting him without any selfish reasons. He also praised Martin Sano for staying loyal from the start despite criticism.

It’s not clear who he was talking about, but it’s obvious there’s tension between them. After a rough year, Nick has been more guarded about the people around him. Meanwhile, the 42-year-old is back in the gym, training with Jake Shields again.

The Stockton Native hasn’t been in the news like this in over a year, from getting married recently to discussing how his life has changed. After pulling out of the Vicente Luque fight, he went quiet and disappeared. Recently, Jake Shields shared a short video of Nick sparring and said it felt good to train with him again.

For fans, that alone was a relief after months of doubt about his future. He has a 26–10 record and a career full of big moments. But lately, the talk was more about his struggles than his fights. Now that he’s training again and spending time with fighters like Sean Strickland, it looks like he’s slowly getting back on track.
