UFC superstar Jon Jones has one loss on his record to former 'The Ultimate Fighter' contestant Matt Hamill, the result of a disqualification due to illegal elbows in 2009.
That match was thoroughly dominated by the current UFC heavyweight champion Jones, who recently defeated heavyweight legend Stipe Miocic to claim his current title belt.
Recently, Hamill took to The Ariel Helwani Show to discuss a possible rematch with Jones, making a promise that caught many UFC fans off guard in regards to the potential outcome of a second fight between the man know as 'The Hammer' and the UFC champion known as 'Bones.'
"If the one loss record really bothers Jon Jones, let's have a rematch," Hamill said on Helwani's show.
"It's not going to be like Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson," the 48-year-old wrestling stalwart Hamill said. "I expect there to be blood and broken bones."
Jones, now 37 years old, has a career record of 28 wins and the one loss to Hamill. He has fought three times since 2020 with wins over Dominick Reyes, Ciryl Gane and Miocic on his resume.
Jones' most likely possible future opponents include Alex Peirera, whom Colby Covington recently said has what it takes to knock out Jones, and rising heavyweight star Tom Aspinall.
