Perez Fires Back At Dumont After Controversial Win

Ailin Perez mocked Norma Dumont on social media after earning a disputed unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 121.

Perez took the nod from all three judges at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Sept. 26, each scoring the bantamweight bout 29-28. The verdict sparked backlash online, with critics arguing Dumont won the fight, as MMA Junkie and Sherdog both reported.

After the announcement, Perez posted a graphic jab on Instagram referencing the condoms and cash Dumont threw at her during their pre-fight faceoff. The exchange extended a feud that had grown heated in the days leading up to the bout, with Perez previously dragging Dumont's boyfriend, UFC middleweight Marco Tulio, into the trash talk.

Dumont Claims She Was Robbed

Dumont fired back through her own Instagram story, telling followers in Portuguese that Perez looked desperate throughout the fight. "She didn't have a prayer against me," Dumont said, per MMA Junkie. "I'm at peace and fully confident that I won. She knows it too; that's why she was so desperate."

Dumont also posted a photo from the decision announcement showing Perez's reaction at the final horn, captioning it with a claim that her opponent knew the result was wrong.

The win pushed Perez's run to seven straight while Dumont suffered her second consecutive loss. No immediate rematch has been announced.
