Setting the stage for a fantastic championship doubleheader, the PFL brings some of the best featherweight and welterweight competitors in the world to the Boardwalk Hall for PFL Atlantic City. Taking top billing in PFL Atlantic City, undefeated phenom Thad Jean battles accredited wrestler Logan Storley. Before that, though, Russian steamroller Movlid Khaybulaev endeavors to earn his second promotional strap when he grapples with Brazilian slugger Jesus Pinedo.
At just 27-years old, Jean stands as a top prospect in the 170-lb landscape, racking up an unbeaten record of 10-0 and coming off of a monumental upset win over Damon Jackson. With the PFL belt firmly in his sights, “The Silverback” must topple another previous Bellator legend to score his first major world title.
Having won his past three contests in a row, Storley has looked dominant in his last two PFL showings, besting Joseph Luciano and Masayuki Kikuiri by unanimous decision. On the cusp of attaining one of the greatest prizes in combat sports, the one-time Bellator interim title-holder has a tough assignment ahead of him in the power-punching Jean in the PFL Atlantic City main event.
Undefeated over the course of his 14-year journey in the sport, Khaybulaev stands as one of the greatest 145-lb fighters in all of mixed martial arts. With one PFL championship already in the trophy case after a successful 2021 season, “Killer” is on a mission to cement his place as an all-time great in the company by getting his second championship belt wrapped around his waist after PFL Atlantic City.
Showcasing a high degree of improvement since losing to Gabriel Braga all the way back in 2023, Pinedo has recorded five back-to-back knockout wins, including a revenge stoppage over Braga in his most recent bout. On a quest to become a two-time promotional champion himself as well, “El Mudo” can punch his way into history as the first man from Peru to score two PFL championships.
