Notre Dame football received a big commitment on Monday when 2026 Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School wide receiver Bubba Frazier. The 5-10, 175-pound pass catcher is one of the more dangerous space weapons in the 2026 recruiting class. The Fighting Irish need more of these types of wide receivers, and were able to find one in one of the best talent hotbeds in the country.
With Frazier now in the class with Dylan Faison, Mike Brown has put together a nice foundation for the 2026 wide receiver class. The group will ultimately be defined by how it finishes. Here are the rest of the wide receivers to know.
Notre Dame is in a heated battle with the Texas Longhorns for Finley. As a Longhorn legacy, he will be a tough pull from the Lone State State but there is confidence on the Irish side. Finley is one of the more productive pass catchers in the entire class, and would be a monumental grab for Coach Brown if he’s able to pull it off.
With the commitment of Frazier, some are left wondering whether Notre Dame will still push for Robinson. The answer is, yes. The 5-8, 160-pound pass catcher is dynamic with the football in his hand. They are battling Ohio State, Miami, and Arizona for Robinson. There is optimism on the Irish side, but I’m not as convinced.
James visited South Bend for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and that visit went really well according to both sides. Getting a pass catcher out of Norman that the Oklahoma Sooners want, however, just isn’t found to be easy. Until James sets up an official visit back to Notre Dame, this just isn’t very likely. James’ speed is definitely wanted.
Sellars is set to make his commitment on Friday between Georgia, Michigan, Clemson, South Carolina, and North Carolina A&T. Despite that, Notre Dame convinced the North Carolina star to take a visit on Tuesday. This is an extreme long shot but there is clearly some level of interest. We will know more after this week.
The board tapers off very quickly. It is not a very large board at all right now, so the Notre Dame staff will need to close accordingly. You don’t want to have to expand the board late in the summer, or else the ending could mirror the 2025 class. That’s the worst case scenario.
There are still a couple of other targets still on the board to know, including Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park standout Brody Keefe and Lake Mary (Fla.) High School pass catcher NBrian Williams. Keefe is the teammate of new defensive end commit Rodney Dunham, while Williams plays with Notre Dame 2026 quarterback commit Noah Grubbs. It’s unclear just how much the Irish will push for either.
