Ronda Rousey left one of Joe Rogan’s friends visibly uncomfortable with her comments about the UFC legend.
Comedian Bert Kreischer recently sat down for a chat with the former UFC bantamweight champion.
The conversation eventually turned to what it would take for Ronda Rousey to make a UFC comeback, amid rumors that she is gearing up for a 2026 return to the Octagon.
‘Rowdy’ playfully demanded a $1 billion payday before Kreischer presented himself as her potential opponent, and made things awkward by wondering what Joe Rogan would think about his chances against one of the greatest female fighters of all time.
Joe Rogan is one of MMA’s most respected commentators after working with the UFC for almost 28 years.
The 58-year-old never fought in the sport, but he did have over 100 taekwondo bouts as a teenager.
Ronda Rousey made it clear she doesn’t respect Rogan’s opinion when Bert Kreischer brought him up.
“He wouldn’t know,” she said.
“He’s not an expert. He’s a fan with an audience. He never fought.
Kreischer awkwardly squirmed as he tried to defend Rogan by mentioning his taekwondo career.
Rousey replied with a laugh: “He never fought, that’s not fighting.”
In April 2024, Ronda Rousey namechecked Joe Rogan as she explained her problem with the MMA media.
“It was really disappointing to see how happily everybody turned on me and how people like Joe Rogan, who were crying in the ring about the honor of being able to call my fights, people I considered friends in the media, so quickly turned on me,” Rousey said on The Chris Cuomo Project.
“The MMA media hates me, it’s fine. Not a single person has called me or anything like that. They’ve all just doubled down and said that I’m making excuses or lying or blowing things out of proportion, or not giving credit where it’s due. No, I have not. I’ll be waiting for that call forever.”
“I’m not waiting for it, and I get that they’re a bunch of a–holes. That’s what I get. I get, ‘F— you.’ At least I would rather not have those fake friendships in my life. I would rather that those people expose themselves, and I don’t leave myself open to them. I would rather cleanse myself of all those fake, superficial relationships than have them still around.”
