O’Malley Beats Yadong In A Controversial Decision

Sean O’Malley defeated Song Yadong at UFC 324 via a unanimous decision, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28, as you can see how the bantamweight fight played out live. 

With Petr Yan beating Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 323, the winner knew would be a candidate to challenge the Russian champion. For O’Malley, this marked his first non-title appearance in nearly three years. After his reign as bantamweight champ was cut short by Dvalishvili in 2024, O’Malley’s attempt to regain the belt in a June 2025 rematch ended in a third-round submission defeat. Yadong’s stock rose in February 2025 following a win over Henry Cejudo, a performance that proved his wrestling defense has caught up to his world-class striking.
