Maycee Barber has been inundated with support following UFC Vegas 107.
The flyweight contender was supposed to square off against Erin Blanchfield on Saturday night.
However, their main event matchup was canceled at the very last minute due to a medical issue.
During a post-event press conference, Maycee Barber‘s opponent claimed the 27-year-old suffered a seizure backstage at UFC Vegas 107.
On Sunday evening, Maycee Barber broke her silence for the first time since withdrawing from UFC Vegas 107.
‘The Future’ shared several pictures and videos of her recent stay at a hospital in Las Vegas.
“Not what I had planned for a Sunday post,” Barber began.
“Thank you to everyone for the prayers & support. I owe an apology to [the UFC, Mick Maynard, Dana White, Sean Shelby] and Erin Blanchfield.
“PS my life is not messy this is just a bad hand. We will get to the bottom of it all and be back.”
Barber’s final message referenced Blanchfield’s claims that her ‘entire life is a mess’ as she blasted her rival for ‘super unprofessional’ behavior. The day before Barber withdrew from UFC Vegas 107, she missed weight for the first time in her UFC career.
Maycee Barber’s health update has attracted thousands of likes and comments.
Several UFC stars have joined fans in wishing the 125lb fighter a speedy recovery.
“Our health is the only thing that truly matters Maycee. Sending you lots of prayers,” UFC commentator Laura Sanko wrote,” while MMA legend Miesha Tate added: “Get well Maycee.”
“When we are healthy we want a million things, when we are not healthy, we only want one thing. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery, Maycee. Heal all of you,” retired bantamweight Claudia Gadelha wrote.
“Take care of you, the whole person. Sending lots of prayers,” fan favorite UFC presenter Megan Olivi commented.
“Heal up. Sending my love,” ex-strawweight star Michelle Waterson said.
UFC fighters Jeremy Stephens and Amanda Ribas showed their support by commenting praying emojis.
Many others, such as Cory McKenna and Adrian Yanez, simply liked Barber’s viral Instagram post.
