Roberto Soldic recovered from being dropped twice in the opening round to win his UFC debut by unanimous decision over Kalinn Williams at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
The former KSW champion weathered early trouble against the veteran Williams before taking control in rounds two and three. Per Sherdog, Soldic entered with a reputation for knockouts but was content to showcase a more complete performance against an opponent who had logged 11 UFC appearances.
Soldic told reporters after the fight that he had no regrets about going to the scorecards. "I didn't rush. I just took my win," he said, per the UFC 332 post-fight press conference. "I don't want to prove I have to kill somebody. I have to win and just show my skills and that's it."
The Croatian praised Williams for absorbing heavy shots throughout the fight, including ground strikes and a high kick. Soldic landed wrestling takedowns while advancing behind his power punching, a tactical shift from his usual seek-and-destroy approach.
The 29-year-old had not competed since February 2025, when he fought for One Championship. He said the extended layoff made the three-round performance valuable, noting he felt strong enough for a full five rounds. Soldic now enters a deep welterweight roster that includes fighters he has already beaten — he holds a knockout victory over former UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis from their days outside the promotion.
