Ronda Rousey hasn’t had a bad word to say about Dana White since her Netflix comeback.

The UFC legend returned to action after a decade away, stepping into the cage for a Jake Paul-promoted event on Saturday night.

Following her 17-second submission of Gina Carano, Rousey made it clear that she and White are still on good terms, despite having fought under a rival promotion live on Netflix.

Speaking to reporters after her fight, Rousey talked about a recent text conversation with the UFC boss.

Dana White had reached out before the bout, offering support as Rousey prepared for her first appearance since being stopped by Amanda Nunes back in December 2016.

“He did send me a text this morning,” said Rousey. “He sent me a text, and he said, ‘Good luck,’ and, you know, that he hopes me and Gina kill it.”

“I just told him how much it meant to me to hear that from him. Yeah, he’s been an incredible friend to me, and I’m here because of him. I am eternally grateful. I really appreciate him giving me his blessing to go out and do this on my own.”

Ronda Rousey calls time on her career for the second time

Before facing Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey made it clear that she was stepping back into the cage for just one fight.

The 39-year-old followed through, announcing her retirement straight after a quick win via armbar.

“There’s no way I could have ended it better than this,” Rousey told Ariel Helwani in her post-fight interview.

”I want to have some more babies, and I’ve got to get cooking.”
