Three Title Fights Set for CAMMA 37: Night One
Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

Iowa’s premier mixed martial arts promotion Caged Aggression is nearly ready to showcase its 20th two-night event at the River Center in Davenport, Iowa on March 22nd and 23rd.

With fight announcements trickling in over the last couple of weeks, the organization has recently released the official fight card for night one, which takes place on the 22nd.

With three champions set to be crowned, night one is looking like a stellar start to the fight-filled weekend.

Main Event

Tyler “Sugafree” Scott (7-3) and Brady Minner (8-4) will meet in the cage for night one’s main event, with the winner taking home the vacant Caged Aggression welterweight championship.

The 34 year old Scott enters the title bout on a three fight win streak and a perfect 3-0 2023 campaign. After a dominant year that ended with two-straight KO/TKO finishes of Gavin Agnew and Jacob Kindig, “Sugafree” will look to raise those streaks to four wins and three finishes respectively, against a man who has never been finished on the feet in twelve bouts, Brady Minner.

Minner is coming off an undefeated 2023 campaign of his own, closing the year with a perfect 2-0 record which included a submission finish over Aaron Mitchell. Following an impressive 2023, Minner will look to add another finish to his catalog in pursuit of CAMMA gold.

Other Title Fights

The next of three night one title fights comes much earlier in the night, this time for the vacant amateur CAMMA bantamweight strap between Clay “Slim Crazy” Larsen (5-1 Am) and Quinn Murphy (7-2 Am).

The 22-year-old Larsen is riding high off a three-fight win streak, with his most recent bout ending in a second-round KO/TKO over Sebastian Grant. This title bout marks Larsen’s third fight in Caged Aggression, and he’ll look to extend his CAMMA record to 3-0 while also earning the amateur bantamweight belt.

His opponent, Quinn Murphy, enters the bout coming off two-straight guillotine wins over Kendall Townlain and Tevyn Coleman, with the former coming in just 17 seconds. This fight marks Murphy’s seventh bout inside the CAMMA arena and his most important yet with gold on the line. With ten finishes spread across the two fighters, the judges may not be needed for this one.

Last but not least is a clash of the titans as Adam “Mountain Man” Burdock-Poulin (3-2 Am) is set to battle Cody “The MaccTrucck” Baker (5-2 Am) for the vacant amateur CAMMA heavyweight title.

“Mountain Man” enters the bout on a two-fight skid, losing to Donte Johnson via decision and tapping to a guillotine by Steven Asplund. After a 1-2 2023 campaign, Burdock-Poulin looks to start the new year on the right foot with a title win over Baker.

“The MaccTrucck” is also entering the title bout under peculiar circumstances. His last appearance came at Caged Aggression 35 against common opponent Donte Johnson, with the fight ending in a second round no contest due an accidental eye poke. However, with four of his five wins coming via KO/TKO, Baker will look to add another finish to his catalog in pursuit of the amateur heavyweight strap.

Night one of Caged Aggression 37: Path to Glory is set to begin March 22nd at approximately 7:30 central at the River Center in Davenport, IA. Tickets to the event can be purchased here, as well as a pay-per-view stream here.
