Darren Till has backing from a prominent bare-knuckle fighter ahead of his clash with Yoel Romero at BKFC 94.

Dan Podmore, the former multi-division BKB champion who headlines BKB 59 in Tijuana on September 19th, told Bare Knuckle Bowker he expects Till to handle Romero when they collide in England on September 26th. Podmore was cageside for Till's BKFC debut at BKFC 90 in Birmingham, where the former UFC middleweight stopped Aaron Chalmers after getting dropped early.

Podmore acknowledged the challenge Romero presents but said the Cuban remains a puzzle. "He's the old man that defies all the odds, and he's still doing things that old men shouldn't be doing," Podmore said, per BJ Penn. "He's fighting and training like he's in his mid-30s. It's going to be interesting to see."

Podmore has connections to Till through the Liverpool fighter's Gorilla Promotions. Fighters from Podmore's gym have sparred with Till during camp, and the reports came back positive. "They said he's very good," Podmore said.

Podmore competes for the BKB super cruiserweight championship against Julian Fernandez seven days before Till and Romero settle their business in front of a home crowd for the former.
