The flyweight star is one of the most desired women in MMA. Prior to news that she is now seeing light-heavyweight champion Pereira she had a high-profile relationship with perennial featherweight contender Brian Ortega.

Cortez even had Ortega in her corner for fights, and their break-up was highly publicized back in 2023. They were even reported to be engaged, but now she is dating the Brazilian – even spending Christmas with him.

Brian Ortega was clearly inundated with messages about Tracy Cortez and Alex Pereira following the news. For his part, he seemed to take it relatively well, writing that he isn’t interested in commenting on anyone’s personal life.

“I see you guys hitting me up trying to get a rise out of me (y’all creative I give you that),” he wrote on his Instagram story in a post that ended up making its way across social media platforms. “Listen up I’m beyond happy and been happy.

“It ain’t my style to talk about others personal life and choices nor is it my business. My business is my family and my career 2026 and every year after will always be about them.” He then shared a video with the caption “Ortega’s 2026” showing his family all together.
