Theo Von made sure not to miss a single minute of fighting action at UFC 317.
Hours before Charles Oliveira vs. Ilia Topuria headlines UFC 317 for the vacant lightweight title and the likes of Alexandre Pantoja, Brandon Royval, and Renato Moicano compete, the preliminary card got underway at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
Pay-per-views in the United States often come with a limited audience for the early bouts, as the lesser-known athletes compete in largely empty arenas before fans and celebrities pack in for the main attractions.
The more hardcore UFC fans, however, would not dare miss a potential highlight-reel knockout.

Likely the most prominent member of the UFC 317 audience from minute one was Von, a stand-up comedian and podcaster with over eight million followers on Instagram.
Von garnered attention at UFC 310 last December when he was spotted cageside for the very first bout. And the American was present again at T-Mobile Arena, sitting alone as Jhonata Diniz and Alvin Hines kicked off the June 28 numbered card.
The 45-year-old’s presence once again drew reactions on social media, as users branded Von a “real fan” for his early attendance.
“Every single time, I love that, sits by himself and just watches the fights, a true fan!”
“He does it every PPV he attends, a true sicko.”
“If I ever go to a UFC best believe I’ll be there from start to finish.”
“Real fan.”
“Huge Alvin Hines fan.”

During an appearance on the Full Send podcast earlier this year, Von explained his early arrival at UFC events.
The popular comedian used one of his unexpected analogies to describe why he makes sure to drink in every bit of fighting action.
“The whole thing is so perfect over there. I love getting to go watch that,” Von said.
“Well, it’s the greatest fighters in the world,” Von said on the Full Send podcast when asked about arriving early for UFC events. “When else do you get to see a great fight, dude?
“When I was growing up, you had to wait around your s—– apartment complex until somebody f—— cheated on somebody. And then the men or women would come out there and fight, but it wasn’t sanctioned, and it was like f—— 30 seconds.”
