The Octagon returns to the Sunshine State for a massive event with UFC 299 from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley makes his first title defense in a heated rematch against rival Marlon Vera. The two fought in August 2020 in a fight Vera won by first round TKO after O'Malley suffered an ankle injury. Since then, O'Malley hasn't lost in his rise to become champion as he looks to avenge the only loss of his career. The co-main event sees Dustin Poirier vs. Benoit Saint-Denis in a five-round lightweight bout. Also on the main card is the UFC debut of former Bellator star Michael "Venom" Page, who takes on Kevin Holland in welterweight action; former title challenger Gilbert Burns vs. Jack Della Maddalena in a welterweight bout; and former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan looking to get back in the win column against Song Yadong.
