Several fighters earned the maximum amount for a non-title fight at UFC 322.
November 15 belonged to Islam Makhachev as he defeated Jack Della Maddalena in one-sided fashion to win a UFC title in a second weight class.
Topped by one of the biggest fights of the year that sets up some very exciting options, the promotion’s return to Madison Square Garden was stacked.
As a result of the name value that filled the card from top to bottom, UFC 322 has set a record for the year that is unlikely to be beaten.
Saturday’s card beat out the likes of UFC 320 in Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay with the biggest overall figure of 2025.
Members of the roster financially benefit from the UFC’s Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay system when they fulfil all of their fight week duties under the code of conduct.
How much each fighter earns is decided by a tier system that uses different levels depending on how many bouts you’ve had under the promotion’s banner.
| Number of UFC or Zuffa-era WEC and Strikeforce fights | Compliance pay received |
| 1-3 | $4,000 |
| 4-5 | $4,500 |
| 6-10 | $6,000 |
| 11-15 | $11,000 |
| 16-20 | $16,000 |
| 21+ | $21,000 |
| Title challenger | $32,000 |
| Champion | $42,000 |
As a result, despite receiving criticism for his performance, Jack Della Maddalena took home more than Islam Makhachev due to the former lightweight champion vacating his belt to move up.
UFC 322’s Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay ending up totaling $350,500, making it the most expensive card of 2025 in this respect.
The previous most expensive card was UFC 316, which came in at $320,500.
Octagon veterans like Angela Hill, Beneil Dariush, and Gerald Meerschaert, who was urged to retire, all earned the maximum amount for a non-title fight which will have boosted the number significantly.
