Several fighters walked away with the maximum payout for a non-title fight at UFC 322.
Islam Makhachev claimed his second UFC belt on 15 November, dominating Jack Della Maddalena in a clear-cut performance.
The main event capped off a card loaded with name value from top to bottom, and the action delivered across the board.
With that level of star power filling out the card, UFC 322 set a new high mark for Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay in 2025 – a record that will be tough to top this year.
The total figure surpassed even that of UFC 320, making it the largest payout under these guidelines so far this year.
The UFC’s Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay system provides financial incentives to roster members who meet all fight week duties and adhere to its code of conduct.
Payouts are determined by a tiered system based on how many fights each athlete has had with the promotion.
| Number of UFC or Zuffa-era WEC and Strikeforce fights | Compliance pay received |
| 1-3 | $4,000 |
| 4-5 | $4,500 |
| 6-10 | $6,000 |
| 11-15 | $11,000 |
| 16-20 | $16,000 |
| 21+ | $21,000 |
| Title challenger | $32,000 |
| Champion | $42,000 |
Intriguingly, Makhachev’s pay came in below Della Maddalena’s due to his move up and decision to vacate his lightweight title.
The event ended with $350,500 distributed through PGC payments—the largest total seen so far in 2025.
The previous high was set at UFC 316 at $320,500.
The overall figure was significantly boosted by several Octagon veterans, such as Angela Hill, Beneil Dariush, and Gerald Meerschaert, who was recently urged to retire. All of them earned the maximum payout for a non-title fight.
