How to Watch UFC 325: Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2: Fans in the U.S. and many international markets can stream UFC 325 live on Paramount+, which carries early prelims through the main card as part of the UFC’s new broadcast deal.
The featherweight title rematch between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes will be the main event of UFC 325, and the data shows why this matchup carries both tactical intrigue and narrative weight.
According to official UFC statistics, Volkanovski holds a slight edge in key striking and grappling metrics, averaging 6.18 significant strikes landed per minute to Lopes’s 4.10, and absorbs fewer strikes per minute as well (3.36 vs. 4.72).
Volkanovski also has far better striking accuracy (56% vs. 48%) and defense (58% vs. 47%). Unless Lopez drastically alters his striking approach, Volkanovski will control the pace if he can keep exchanges measured.
On the mat, Volk lands nearly twice as many takedowns per 15 minutes (1.67 vs. 0.79), though Lopes has higher takedown accuracy (55% vs. 34%). Lopes’s bread and butter is in his ground game, and he will remain dangerous if he mixes levels effectively.
This rematch stems from their first encounter at UFC 314, where Volkanovski reclaimed the featherweight championship.

In that fight, Volk outlanded Lopes on significant strikes and overall control, even though Lopes had his moments, including a knockdown in round 2 and consistently pressured exchanges. Volkanovski’s veteran ability to withstand adversity and adjust his offense helped him secure the decision win.
While I personally believe that featherweight contenders Lerone Murphy and Movsar Evloev are more deserving of a title shot against Volkanovski, I’m not entirely dismissive of the rematch.
As someone who watched every title fight last year, I believe Volkanovski vs. Lopes 1 was one of the more entertaining and competitive title fights of 2025. This slow-motion clip of the fight went viral at the time, and it perfectly captures the essence of their bout (via TNT Sports on Instagram):
Their rematch is shaping up to be another classic, highly-skilled, action-packed chess match.
