UFC Fight Night – Jeremiah Wells vs Themba Gorimbo: Preview & Betting Tips
Christopher Hanewinckel-Imagn Images

This weekend’s bout between Jeremiah Wells and Themba Gorimbo at UFC Vegas 110 promises to be another exciting welterweight clash.

Wells (12-4-1) has quietly built a reputation for danger at any moment. His UFC run has produced both highlight wins and razor-thin defeats, including stoppages over Court McGee and Blood Diamond, as well as a controversial split-decision loss to Max Griffin.

After early struggles in the UFC including a debut loss to AJ Fletcher, Gorimbo (14-5) has rebounded impressively, racking up victories over Ramiz Brahimaj, Niko Price, and Pete Rodriguez. His only recent setback came at the hands of veteran Vicente Luque, who submitted him in under a minute.

Jeremiah Wells vs Themba Gorimbo: Analysis

Wells will look to close distance, explode into combinations, and perhaps even mix in his underrated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu once the fight hits the mat. He’s most dangerous early, particularly in the first five minutes, where his power and athleticism can overwhelm opponents.

Gorimbo, meanwhile, thrives when he can extend fights. Expect him to use his reach to manage distance, change levels, and force Wells to defend takedowns. His cardio advantage and control-heavy style make him a strong candidate to grind out rounds. The longer this fight goes, the more it tilts toward Gorimbo.

Defensively, Gorimbo must respect Wells’ entries into close range. Wells doesn’t telegraph much, and when he swings, he swings to finish. But if Gorimbo can weather that early storm and chain together wrestling takedowns, the Zimbabwean could earn him another win.

Wells vs Gorimbo: Prediction & Betting Tips

At nearly 40, Wells’ explosiveness can fade late in fights, and his gas tank sometimes struggles to match his aggression. Against a younger, longer opponent like Gorimbo, that could become a key factor. The key question will be whether Gorimbo can handle the early explosiveness Wells brings before the veteran starts to slow.

If Gorimbo survives the initial barrage, his physicality and grappling control should begin to take over. Wells’ best chance comes early, while Gorimbo’s comes late. Either way, this should be one of the more underrated technical battles on the UFC Vegas 110 card.

I’m willing to side with the younger and longer fighter in this one as the slight favourite, which I think is the correct line. Take Themba Gorimbo moneyline at odds of 1.73
