See, Shi Ming is a doctor. After her spectacular knockout, she earned the fitting nickname of “Doctor Sleep” from Michael Bisping during the broadcast of the fight.
As reported by MMA Junkie, Shi Ming has earned all of the notoriety that she’s getting. Because of her knockout, she landed a professional contract with UFC, and she earned a $50,000 award for Performance of the Night for the viral moment.
Now that Shi Ming’s fight has been dubbed the head kick seen around the world, one would wonder do her parents know that she’s officially in the ring.
After the fight, Ming was asked would she tell them and she explained, “I don’t think I’m going to mention it to them. For my parents, they are traditional Chinese parents, and they worry about me. Only doctor or a lawyer, I don’t have other choice. So, I’m going to fight UFC, but maybe every time I will go back home after I recover.”
