The first face-off between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane was intense. After the recent press conference at the White House, fans saw Pereira facing off with Gane in front of the White House, which got people talking online. However, as the fight is big, many stars are reacting to this one.

Talking about the heavyweight interim fight, UFC heavyweight star Waldo Cortes-Acosta believes that the French fighter is actually a more complete MMA striker than ‘Poatan.’ This will be the Brazilian fighter’s debut at heavyweight, and Cortes-Acosta favors Gane. In a recent interview with Jake Noecker, the heavyweight star said:

“Ciry Gane, because he moves better, more dynamic. His striking is for Martial Arts. Striking in Kickboxing is different. Ciryl Gane’s striking is more well rounded.”

The former light heavyweight champion has knocked out almost all of his opponents at middleweight and light heavyweight. Fans will wait to see his debut at heavyweight against the former title challenger.

Alexander Volkov Questions Alex Pereira for Interim Heavyweight Title Shot

Alexander Volkov is not fully buying into the hype around Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane at the UFC White House event. While fans see it as a historic heavyweight clash, Volkov believes the UFC mainly made the fight because it is huge for promotion and media attention. During his recent interview with MMA Fighting, the Russian fighter said:

“If Ciryl Gane wins, he will beat a UFC star. He will go on the next media level. If Alex Pereira wins, he won like third title in his career, so he will be good. Anyway, UFC won with this fight. And it will be for sure not like a boring fight, but it’s not true title fight. It’s more like a promotional or media fight.”

The Russian fighter said that if the Brazilian wins, he will become a champion in a third division and create history. Additionally, Volkov also warned that Gane’s movement and footwork could become a serious problem for Pereira. This fight is something that is super hyped.
