The UFC's Aug. 29 card in Shanghai has added a flyweight matchup between Kevin Borjas and Rei Tsuruya, according to multiple reports including Sherdog and MMA Junkie.
Borjas enters on a 2-4 UFC run that includes a weight miss in his most recent outing, a decision win over Andre Lima. The Peruvian came to the promotion through Dana White's Contender Series but has yet to find consistent form inside the Octagon.
Tsuruya earned his contract via Road to UFC and holds a 2-1 record with the promotion. The Japanese fighter dropped a decision to current champion Joshua Van but bounced back with a first-round rear-naked choke of Luis Gurule. His debut came at UFC 303, where he decisioned Carlos Hernandez.
The Fight Night card at Shanghai Indoor Stadium is headlined by former bantamweight title challenger Umar Nurmagomedov against China's Yadong Song. The promotion has not yet confirmed the flyweight addition.
