The second pay-per-view event of 2024 for the UFC will be headlined by a featherweight title clash. Champion Alexander Volkanovski hopes to prove he hasn't taken a step back after suffering a head kick knockout loss to reigning UFC lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev. His challenger will be Ilia Topuria, who is undefeated in 14 pro MMA fights.
The co-headliner will feature a middleweight battle between former 185-pound king Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa. Whittaker would like to wipe away the memory of his second-round TKO to Dricus Du Plessis, who captured the UFC Middleweight Championship with a split decision win over Sean Strickland.
There's more action to sink your teeth into, but if you can't watch the action live, then a companion stream is available.
The UFC is providing the live reaction stream and it'll be hosted by UFC Hall of Famer Jens Pulver and Viss. The two will be reacting to the action as its happening throughout the night. The live feed begins at 6:30 p.m. ET.
In addition to the aforementioned main and co-main, UFC 298 will also feature a welterweight tilt between Ian Machado Garry and Geoff Neal. A key clash in the bantamweight division between former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo and Merab Dvalishvili will also be featured on the main card.
Getting things started on the PPV will be a 185-pound clash of styles between Anthony Hernandez and Roman Kopylov.
