UFC Vegas 107 fight week rolls on. After the UFC took last weekend off in observance of the Memorial Day holiday, MMA’s No. 1 promotion gears up for another exciting summer in a couple of weeks by starting a stretch of five consecutive Saturday nights of action.
On the final night of May, the promotion finds itself inside the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, NV for UFC Vegas 107. Live coverage of the event begins Saturday evening with the prelims at 6 pm ET/ 3 pm PT.
If you’re watching from inside the United States, Saturday’s card can be seen gavel-to-gavel on ESPN and ESPN+. Main card action follows at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT. All told, barring any further late adjustments or postponements to the bout order between now and the upcoming weekend, the final version of this week’s show features a schedule of 11 MMA bouts.
At the top of the bill on Saturday night, a crucial bout takes place at 125 lbs when No. 4 contender Erin Blanchfield (13-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) meets up with No. 5 contender Maycee Barber (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC.) As with all main events in the UFC, this one is five rounds at five minutes per round to close out the show.
Heading into the main event of the evening, Erin Blanchfield has a record of 4-1 in her last five fights. Last November, she returned to the win column by way of unanimous decision over Rose Namajunas (13-7 MMA, 11-6 UFC) in Edmonton.
Blanchfield previously rattled off 10 victories in succession prior to losing to Manon Fiorot in Atlantic City in March of last year. Thus, it goes without saying that she’s a tough customer in the shop. Can she win two in a row on Saturday?
As far as Maycee Barber is concerned, “The Future” has posted a mark of 5-0 in her last five contests, part of an ongoing six-fight winning streak dating back to July of 2021. Last time out, she bested Katlyn Cerminara (nee Chookagian) (18-6 MMA, 11-6 UFC) via unanimous decision in March of last year, so ring rust will be a question heading into this one.
This is Barber’s initial five-round headliner in the UFC and she could find herself a victory away from a shot at the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship provided that she wins here. Will Maycee Barber score a resume-building win this weekend?
Immediately beforehand, the co-main event of UFC Vegas 107 sees action take place in the lightweight ranks. No. 7 contender Mateusz Gamrot (24-3, 1 NC MMA, 7-3 UFC) meets up with L’udovit Klein (23-4-1 MMA, 7-2-1 UFC). This contest is a three-round affair at five minutes per round.
Mateusz Gamrot enters the co-headlining bout on Saturday night on a 3-2 record in his past five appearances. He’ll be looking to get back into the win column this upcoming weekend after dropping a split decision to Dan Hooker (24-12 MMA, 14-8 UFC) in August of last year.
He’s had nine months off in-between fights. While not quite the hiatus that main-eventer Maycee Barber has had, long periods of time away for a fighter could do more harm than good. Prior to this fight at UFC Vegas 107, Gamrot had no more than six and a half months away between fights since joining the UFC. Will the time away result in his 25th career win?
Across the way, L’udovit Klein comes into this weekend’s fight at UFC Vegas 107 having posted a mark of 4-0-1 in his last five fights as part of an ongoing seven-fight unbeaten streak. Back in September of 2024, he went to Paris to score a unanimous decision victory over Roosevelt Roberts (12-5, 1 NC MMA, 4-5, 1 NC UFC).
Klein has been on a hot streak of late, so can he keep it up? Tune into UFC Vegas 107 and find out.
Also on the UFC Vegas 107 main card, you’ll be treated to a welterweight tilt matching Billy Ray Goff (9-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC), an alumnus of the late Bellator MMA, with Ramiz Brahimaj (11-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC). Goff has gone 4-1 in his last five fights. The former CES MMA Middleweight Champion saw a seven-fight winning streak snapped last May in St. Louis due to a unanimous decision for Trey Waters (9-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC).
Billy Ray Goff has been victimized by canceled fights in recent times. Since that loss in St. Louis, he’s seen three planned bouts get scrubbed without a punch thrown, including two scheduled within seven days of one another.
Meanwhile, Ramiz Brahimaj wasn’t Goff’s original opponent for Saturday night. Initially, he was to have battled Ko Seok Hyeon (11-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in what would have been the latter’s debut, but that fight was postponed due to visa issues. Expect Billy Ray Goff to fight with frustration this Saturday night.
Brahimaj also hasn’t been immune to cancellations of late. He’s sporting a record of 3-2 in his last five contests and finished Mickey Gall (7-7 MMA, 6-7 UFC) with a first-round knockout due to a right hook in November of last year during UFC 309 in Madison Square Garden before being initially booked to fight Oban Elliott (12-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) on this card.
Elliott, however, was unable to travel to Nevada because of visa issues, resulting in Goff and Brahimaj fighting one another. How will the late change in opponent affect Brahimaj’s gameplan?
Earlier in the evening on UFC Vegas 107, a light heavyweight fight matches Dustin Jacoby (20-9-1 MMA, 8-6-1 UFC) and Bruno Lopes (14-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC). Jacoby will be making the walk this weekend with a record of 2-3 in his last five fights. Right before Christmas, he stopped Vitor Petrino (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) with a third-round knockout in Tampa.
Dustin Jacoby is a seasoned veteran of MMA and Saturday night’s bout is his 31st career appearance across all promotions. His opponent is no slouch in the case by any means.
In the other corner, Bruno Lopes will be making his second walk to the famed Octagon having posted a 4-1 mark over his past five contests. Currently, he’s won three in a row.
Back in January on the first UFC Fight Night of the year, he made a successful UFC promotional debut with a unanimous decision victory against Magomed Gadzhiyasulov (9-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at the selfsame Apex facility where this week’s show will be held. At this time a year ago, Lopes was a few months away from fighting on Contender Series and now, he’s fighting on an ESPN main card.
Can Lopes make it four in a row?
Which main card fight or fights are you looking forward to on Saturday?
